South Park 13.13 “Dances With Smurfs” Recap

Submitted on January 3, 2010 No Comment

This episode of South Park begins at school, or schoo as Eric Cartman would say. The present ginger kid is announcing the regular morning broadcast until he is shot and murdered in a hostage scenario. So Cartman decides to run the morning news announcements. This alone would elicit laughter of ridicule. The first thing that strikes you is the similarities of Glenn Beck with Cartman. Technically, they got an idiot to portray another idiot. I’ll give you a moment for that statement to sink in! Cartman uses his position to lash out on Wendy.

South Park

Later on in the episode, Cartman releases a movie ‘Dancing with Smurfs’, which is uproariously amusing. Butters ends up pissing on Wendy’s door to voice his condemnation of the ‘Smurf Killings’ with a group of other nerds. AND the Clyde kid was amazing – outstandingly amusing. The installment was filled with amazing jokes and a very funny plot. If I had to nitpick, I’d say they repeated a few jokes. Oh, and the two and a half minute homicide clip was dreadful. In conclusion, an awesome episode with a few blemishes.
